Illustrations developed for my final university thesis project, originally titled "Receitas para sua criança interior" in Brazilian Portuguese. it's a 28-page illustrated recipe book exploring the relation between food and affective memory. Made with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and of course, the kitchen, where I tested all the recipes.
To develop the book I created an online survey where participants from different age groups from all five regions of Brazil came together to share their childhood food memories. With the data gathered I was able to narrow down which recipes to include, mixing my own memories too for a personal touch.
The project was developed in seven stages over six months: bibliographic research, qualitative research, recipe testing, gathering feedback, writing the thesis, developing the artwork and designing the final book layout.
